Tuwu copper mine is located in the Gobi Desert in Xinjiang, China.As a result of biological,environmental and economic considerations, available copper in Tuwu copper oxide ores was accumulated in so-called oxide dumps.Since 2010, we have been investigating the practicability of heap leaching which makes copper recovery easy and effective.The heap leaching process employs sulfuric acid media under ambient condition.
