Chemically modified biosorbents have showed superior performance to raw biosorbents for removal and recovery of precious metals [1].The amine groups were known to be biding sites for anion metals and subsequent formation of their nanoparticles [2].In this study,the biomass of Corynebacterium glutamicum was coated with polyethylenimine (PEIB) according to our previous report [3] and used to enhance sorption and synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs).In the series of experiments,the effects of the contact time (0-6 h),temperature (30 and 50 ℃),and initial metal concentration (160,265 and 515 ppm) were studied.
