When considering the points of bounded height on varieties with a big anticanonical line bundle,various accumulating subsets emerge naturally.This led to the quest for a criterion to separate good rational points from bad ones.The notion of freeness for rational points,which is directly inspired by the notion of very free rational curve and uses Bosts notion of slopes,seems to be a good candidate for such a criterion.On the other hand,by zooming around a rational point,one gets local accumulating subsets.The aim of this talk is to explain how to use the notion of slopes to get a better understanding of these local accumulating subsets,thereby strengthening the relationship between freeness and accumulation.
