Immaterial Assets now represent more than 80% of publicly listed companies value.Of these assets,Intellectual Property plays a most important role.In this presentation we will look at how countries historically have used intellectual property when they build up their technology industries and the lessons learned from these developments.We will also look at how China and Chinese companies now have a historic opportunity to leverage IP and R&D from international companies to develop its own industry and what the specific challenges are for achieving this.Using historic and recent data we will show how the current climate represent unique opportunities for China and it companies.
