Purpose: Preparing melittin/sodium dodecyl sulphate complex(mel/SDS complex) with high hydrophobicity ; Methods: hydrophobic ion pairing technique; Results: The highest rate of bonding was ~98%; the complexs partitioning into 1-octanol was 89.22±1.77% in acidified water (pH4.3); particles with high entrapment efficiency (~80%) were obtained.Conclusion: By this way,we got a melittin/SDS complex with high hydrophobicity and made it possible to obtain particles with high entrapment efficiency.
