An experimental study was conducted on the behavior of stressed skin for aluminum alloy mobile-house with semi-rigid connections. The mobile-house was spliced by aluminum alloy frame and polyurethane foam sandwich panels and is a full-scale test. The deformation and destruction characteristics of the structure under the combined loads of snow and wind load were analyzed. The test results indicate that the structure take the horizontal displacement as the standard of serviceability state design. And also the ultimate capacity of the structure has been determined. The effects of semi-rigid connections on ultimate capacity were considered according to the finite element nonlinear analysis. The comparison and analysis of the data show that, the rotational stiffness of joints change the distribution of inner force between the frame and panels. The results demonstrated in this paper the Technical specification for steal structure of light-weigh Buildings with gables frames is more suitable for this structure in controlling displacement.
