Recently,A.Beilinson and T.Saito constructed the singular support and characteristic cycle for (e)-adic sheaves respectively which are analogues of characteristic varieties of D-modules on complex manifolds.On a smooth curve,the singular support and characteristic cycle of an (e)-adic sheaf is determined by its Swan conductor at ramification loci.
