The development of ultralight automobile has motivated the lightweight material selection, which has been recognized as a MCDM (multi-criteria decision making) issue, a complex process for its multi-criteria, qualitative information expression and environment effect.This paper has proposed the F-VIKOR evaluation framework with applying the linguistic variables and trapezoidal fuzzy number into the uncertain information analysis.In addition, the environment influence and recycling attribute are also considered, which caters for the philosophy of ultralight character.The case has verified the effectiveness of proposed model and concluded that the aluminium alloy has been the optimal alternative showing its blooming tendency.
