Simultaneous removal of Hg0 by SCR catalysts has attracted great interest in mercury removal from flue gases.The removal of mercury will be extremely facilitated if Hg0 is oxidized to water-soluble Hg2+species by upstream SCR catalyst.It is well known that HCl enhances Hg0 oxidation obviously,but a SCR catalyst is easily deactivated by HCl as a result of the formation of metal chlorides [1].Due to its promotion of Hg0 oxidation and deactivation of the SCR reaction,the interactions between HCl and SCR catalysts need to be paid more attention.
