Background Coronal shear fractures of the femoral condyle (ie,Hoffa fracture) are an uncommon intra articular fracture.Open reduction and internal fixation is recommended for good long-term knee joint function.Traditionally,lag screws were recommended as the primary treatment method for Hoffa fracture,but it has shortcomings,such as joint disturb,less resisting shear force,failure to fix comminuted or collapsed fractures.
