Copper complexes have long been known as potential phosphorescent emitter alternatives, and their cost are 1/2,000th that of iridium phosphors.However, most of copper complexes reported had a low EQE in solution.Here, we have designed and synthesized a series of new neutral copper(Ⅰ) complexes based on sterically congested non-conjugated multi-chelating heterocyclic ligands di(pyridin-2-yl)amine ligands and analogues, which afford a rigid environment around the copper center in the complexes, leading to effective suppression of the nonradiative processes, which show high EQE in both solution and solid state and easily tunable emissions from blue to the red range.
