This paper worked on the study of separation and concentration high value compounds soyasaponins and isoflavones from soybean extracts by nanofiltration.Nanofiltration of modeling solution of soyasaponins and isoflavones in ethanol/water were carried out in a laboratory dead-filtration system.Five membranes have been used: Duramem 150,Duramem 200,Duramem 300,Duramem 500 and Duramem 900.The dependence of the membrane rejection on its MWCO(Molecular Weight Cut Off) was presented.Based on the different rejections for soyasaonins(1000 Da) and isoflavones (380 Da) with the same membrane,it was obviously that soyasaponins could be separated from extracts by Duramem 900.While the isoflavones in the permeat can be concentrated by Duramem 150.After two steps nanofiltration,the content of the active compounds in the permeat was ignorable.The solvent can be reused thus bringing additional economical and environmental benefits.
