The random characters of the road surface profile are discussed with the uniform distribution and the normal distribution phaseangle inputs. The inputs are investigated on the amplitudes,the probability density,the cumulative probability and the amplitude frequency.The road surface is numerical simulated as a zero means stationary Gaussian random process according to International Organization forStandardization specifications,with the two distribution types. The calculations are inspected on the frequency,the power spectral densitywith roughness coefficient varying. The surface profiles and the power spectral density curve amplitudes are depended on the coefficient,and the random characters of the input distribution are not inherited directly by the surface. Furthermore,no dominate frequency emerges inthe PSD curves.
