Objectives: To discuss coronal incision approach for the management of tumors in the pterygopalatine and infratemporal fossa.Methord: A retrospective review of 7 cases with tumors in pterygopalatine and infratemporal fossa was carried out.7 cases were treated by coronal incision approach between October, 2009 and September, 2013.Clinical outcome and survival time were evaluated.Results: Good postoperative healing and no facial deformity and dysfunction were seen in 7 cases.2 cases died within one year after operation, 2 cases died in one or 2 years after operation.3 cases survived over 3 years after operation.Conclusion: The coronal incision can provide extensive surgical field and this technique is especially useful for excising tumors in the pterygopalatine and infratemporal fossa.
