Ceriumand calcium double filled CexCa0.3Co4Sb12skutterudites(nominal dose: x=0.1,0.2,0.3)were synthesized with a high pressure synthesis method.The structural,electrical,and thermoelectric properties were investigated.All the samples show the skutterudite structure of Im3 symmetry.The dual filling of CeandCainto CoSb3voids leads to a substantial increase in the power factor and a great decrease in the latticethermal conductivity.The maximal PF value of ca.5100 μWm-1K-2and the minimum lattice thermal conductivity of 1.38Wm-1K-1occur in the sample Ce0.3Ca0.3Co4Sb12.sample.As the result,the highest ZT of 1.2 was achieved in the optimal Ce0.3Ca0.3Co4Sb12 at 863 K.
