Web tension controllers for the accumulator of self-developed LJF650A zero speed splicer are presented in this paper.Based on linear active disturbance rejection control(LADRC)strategy,which is independent of the accurate system model,inherits the good properties of PID control strategy and presents good disturbance rejection to both internal uncertain dynamics and external disturbances,the regular LADRC controller was designed to obtain good tension control performance and strong robustness against disturbances caused by the wide range repeat change of operation condition.Furthermore,for our self-developed splicer,part of the model dynamics can be assumed deterministic based on the mechanism analysis and on-site testing,which is utilized to improve controller performance by relieving the burden of disturbance observer.Simulation is done with the regular and improved LADRC controllers respectively.The comparison with traditional PI controller demonstrates the effectiveness of LADRC control strategy against disturbances while the controller parameters tuning is also rather easy.
