The acetylation of lysine residues in proteins is a ubiquitous and conserved post-translational modification (PTM), playing a critical regulatory role in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes. To comprehensive investigate functions performed by acetylation of proteins in plant fungal pathogens, in this study, the Lysine acetylome was analyzed in Fusarium graminerum PH-1, which is the causal pathogen of Fusarium head blight (FHB) of wheat and barly.
