作为世界主要的三大粮食作物之一,小麦生产对全世界粮食有着至关重要的作用。1979年首次报道有关小麦光敏感型细胞质雄性不育的消息,从那之后,一系列的光温敏雄性不育系小麦相继被发现。337S是目前唯一的两极型光温敏雄性不育系。337s对日长要求不高,没有细胞质负效应,育性稳定,制种区域广,具有优良的综合农艺性状等特点。它的发现是对植物雄性不育现象的一个重要补充。传统的小麦育种一般需要经过6个以上的世代自交才能达到相对纯合水平,而加倍单倍体对于缩短育种年限,提高选择效率以及遗传研究都有非常重要的意义。
