In contemporary world the amount of information proceeded by people grows rapidly.As far as human’s brain is not capable to consume and store all of this information,it creates short,but succinct images of everything that human being comes across with during the life.Among those images are images of a particular country.Forming of such an image in human’s mind should not be chaotic and uncontrollable,because negative and wrong image can be harmful for country’s international relations,investment climate,etc.One of the main conductors of country’s image abroad are diplomacy subjects.It is MFA that has a unique right to represent its country abroad,it is MFA’s activity that first of all influences minds of foreign citizens.That is why the current thesis researches the influence of Russia’s MFA on the formation of Russia’s international image.The current thesis uses the following research methods:instrumental observation method on current international events involving Russia,research of documentation related to MFA and foreign policy,and also descriptive methods for grouping,systematization and classification of information.Russia is one of the key actors on international political and economic arenas,formation of its positive image is extremely important for objective assessment of its actions by world’s community and decision making on foreign policy issues by other actors of international relations.To achieve this goal Russia needs to create a specific coordinating body under the MFA,that will use systematic approach to create unified contemporary Russia’s brand features based,first of all,on peaceful foreign policy,and using modern information technologies to reach wider public（wider in terms of geography and age）.
