Asuka period is one of the most important period in Japanese history. It is a period in which Japan woke at home and abroad in politics for the first time and made the firm unity come true. As it was faced with a severe international environment, its international relationship became frequent, complex and nationwide. At the same time, Japan communicated prosperously with other peoples because of the progress in local development. So it tried his best to destroy its clan system which exited as the origin of the traditional national organizations to confirm its centralization system. In cultural sense it can also be said that Japan is active in absorbing external culture and combining it with its own culture to create a diverse culture. The legal knowledge which acts as the theory of the transformation of social system was originated from Sui and Tang dynasty. Buddhism which has profound philosophy and gives a compact to original faith is from Indo. The arts of that period which is still considered as a big surprise in world’s cultural history such as painting, music and dances are all learned from other countries as China, Indo, and Persia.etc. It can be said that in that period Japan not only absorbed external culture greatly but also accelerated its progress of the construction of nation with the culture it absorbed. This progress can offer great experience to the succeeding period especially Meiji period in which western civilization was greatly absorbed. But it also left suspense that whether the seed of fascism come out because of the expansion of the national consciousness .Because this period is complex and difficult in researching the constitute of the periodical history, I’m going to analyze Japanese structure of the state from the viewpoint of the accepting of external culture. The condition of Japanese opening to the world can be divided into several periods from ancient times. But in my view, Asuka period is the original one. So researching this period can not only understand Japanese and Japanese culture’s feature but can also link to Japan and its future image.
