TFT-LCD窄边框手机显示屏的关键技术研究

Thin film transistor-liquid crystal display(TFT-LCD)is widely used in human lives,for example television,computer,automobile navigation,dash board and so on,especially in the field of mobile phone display.Because of the portable application of mobile phone and its extensive penetration in life,people’s sensory requirements for mobile phone display screen are becoming more and more strict,especially the demand for narrow boarder display.However the coating width and coating relative position of the sealant have certain limitations in traditional TFT-LCD process.The sealant width cannot be narrowed and the position of the sealant can be shifted inwards without limit,or it will cause quality problems of the display screen.It is true that cutting on sealant can narrow the border width of mobile phone display screen with 0.2 mm for each side.But with normal wheels it cannot meet the reliability and quality requirements of mobile phone display screen from the perspective of cutting mode and section effect.Thus it does not have the feasibility for mass production.Therefore,in order to realize cutting on sealant of TFT-LCD,this paper mainly studies the narrow boarder display of mobile phone in TFT-LCD from two key technical directions: cutting wheel selection and black matrix laser burning.Research about different cutting wheels down-selection on sealant.The key technical parameters of the cutting wheel are: cutter tooth shape,diameter(including inner diameter and outer diameter),cutter wheel angle,Pitch number and cutter tooth depth.Common cutting-assisted process measures include: standing,special equipment for break,heating,ultrasonic,etc.This study selects the cutting-assisted process and the cutting wheel types for the on-sealant cutting process.Though the auxiliary measures improve the bending strength of conventional cutting process,it has been found through experiments that it helps a little on the on-sealant cutting process.In the study of the cutting wheel types for the on-sealant cutting process,there are 8 cutting wheels with different technical parameters were selected for testing.The pressure correction test was carried out one by one for each of the 8 cutting wheels,and the optimal set of pressure transverse direction was selected to compare with other remaining cutter wheels.The contrast items were: Rib mark penetration,section tooth retention and compression breaking effect.At the same time,quality reliability evaluation that includes PCT test,Peel Off test and Bending test is combined with the above results to select a tool wheel that meets the requirements.Research on on-sealant cutting of black matrix laser burning.In the existing design of the test product,on the basis of changing the sealant coating,it is still necessary to avoid the overlap of the PI coating and the sealant.The test samples are tested at the laser vendor to select the size of the spot and the number of scans.Finally the on-sealant cutting is performed using a conventional cutter wheel on the laser-shaping product.Through the comparison of various process indicators and reliability indicators including PCT test and Peel Off test and Bending test,it is concluded that the quality gap between the conventional cutting wheel cutting and the non-slip cutting products of the black matrix laser shaping rubber cutting products is different.In conclusion,by studying the selection of different cutter wheels for gel-cutting and applying them to the black matrix laser shaping,this paper finally realizes the gel-cutting of TFT-LCD with high quality and narrow borader,which lays a research foundation for the mass production of high-quality mobile phone display screens in the future.
