In order to study the effect of different coverage of plant fiber blankets on vegetation reconstruction, the planting effect of grass-shrub and sowing communities covered by three kinds of plant fiber blankets was carried out on the slope of Hebei Shijiazhuang-An (Yang) Expressway Community test. Taking the coverage of non-woven fabrics used in traditional vegetation restoration as a control, the effects of covering on the emergence and growth performance, stress resistance and later growth vigor of early vegetation communities were studied. The improvement effect of plant fiber blanket on soil micro-environment was analyzed. The results showed that there was a significant difference in seedling emergence rate and initial vegetation coverage between the cover materials, the straw blankets and the hybrid blankets were better than the non-woven fabrics, and the coconut silk blankets performed poorly. Covering with the plant fiber blanket increased the performance of the plants overwintering and over the summer, The order of the number of blanket in winter was non-woven fabric, straw blanket, mixed blanket and coconut silk blanket from low to high. The coverage of plant fiber blanket had a good effect on the growth density and vegetation coverage of the following year, The average value of plant coverings was higher than that of non-woven fabrics. Covering of plant fiber blanket had obvious impediment to seed germination and penetration earlier than traditional methods, but had more improvement effect on soil microenvironment, which could buffer the range of soil temperature change and increase the surface roughness , Maintaining soil and water and seeds, thereby enhancing the overall quality of vegetation and achieving vegetation leveling.
