我从事佛教壁画临摹与美术考古研究缘自于我1993年到新疆龟兹研究所工作,在克孜尔、克孜尔尕哈、森木塞姆等龟兹石窟进行壁画临摹研究工作,进而由画画渐渐进入学术研究领域。我最初是画山水画的,小时由临习《芥子园画传》开始学习传统树石山峦的画法,后来用传统笔墨到天山中写生,从自然中体悟笔墨,在实践中探索怎样用传统笔墨表现新疆天山的山峦结构与意境,用这种方式进行山水创作。随着深入,思考的面也多了起来。那时思想处于十字路口,我从小学习的基本是中国画和与其相关的传统文化,后在大学学习的多是西画系统的
