清朝初期俄国宗教传道团来华的前提条件是横亘在中俄双方之间文化障碍的逐渐克服。《尼布楚条约》签订之后,两国关系和平发展,通过贸易往来和使团互访,双方在媒介语言上经过磨合找到了共同点,而来华的俄国使节对清朝政府苛刻的礼仪文化的适应,更是让双方的往来顺畅起来。在俄国商队和使团频繁出入北京的过程中,俄国政府掌握了满洲镶黄旗俄罗斯佐领的宗教活动情况。俄国政府经过多年的坚持终于取得清朝政府的同意,派出了第一届俄国驻华宗教传道团,希望借此改造中国人的精神文化。清朝政府在多次拒绝之后,出于和俄国政府保持长久和平关系的考虑,接受了俄国驻华宗教传道团。
The preconditions for the missionary mission of Russian religions to China in the early days of the Qing Dynasty were to gradually overcome the cultural barriers between China and Russia. After many refusals, the Qing government accepted Russian religious mission in China for the sake of maintaining long-term peaceful relations with the Russian government.
