首先介绍了传统OSI模型中介质接入控制（MediumAccessControl,MAC）协议及其在有线本地网中的应用。接着针对无线ATM网的特．或对两种基于服务质量（Quakity—of－Service，QoS）的MAC协议进行了详细的阐述。最后指出了它们相对于传统的MAC协议的优越性。
First, the Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol in the traditional OSI model and its application in wired local area network are introduced. Followed by wireless ATM network special. Or elaborate on two kinds of Quakity-of-Service (QoS) based MAC protocols. Finally, it points out their superiority over the traditional MAC protocol.
