“通”是荀子对“圣”所作的重要规定,这种规定性不仅体现在荀子所明言之“知通统类”的内圣,更体现在荀子反复强调而未明言的“势通统类”的外王。通过对性与圣、知与圣、势与圣三个维度的分析,可以发现荀子之“圣”的内在理论架构与荀子整体哲学思想之间的逻辑关系。将这个命题放到先秦儒学发展的背景下,更可以发现荀子在“通”这一概念上对先秦儒家之“圣”所做的进一步深化与发展。
Xunzi’s important regulation on “Saint ” is not only embodied in Xunzi ’s “inner wisdom”, but also reflected in Xunzi repeatedly emphasized without explicit statement “Potential General category ” of the outer king. Through the analysis of the three dimensions of sexuality, sanctity, knowledge, holiness, potential and holiness, we can find out the logical relationship between the internal theoretical framework of Xunzi’s “Sheng” and Xunzi’s overall philosophical thought. Putting this proposition into the context of the development of pre-Qin Confucianism, we can find out that Xunzi further deepened and developed the concept of “holy” of pre-Qin Confucianism in the concept of “communication ”.
