Seamless pipe is one of the main materials in the drilling engineering of geological exploration department. The amount required by the Bureau every year accounts for about 50% of the steel materials. Due to the large amount of use loss, the number of pipe scrapped each year is also quite a few. The sum of “waiting for scrapping” in the first three quarters of 1956 was equivalent to 1/3 of the number of inventory carried forward at the end of the third quarter, equivalent to 24% of the supply in 1956. Most of these scrap pipes were treated as scrap steel in the past. In the current situation of the lack of steel (especially pipes), the good use of waste pipe to replace the air supply pipe, not only can solve the difficulties of raw material supply, but also save the country steel and funds. In order to study this method, we used the same Department Supply Department to go to the 105 exploration team to conduct trial work on the use of waste pipes instead of water supply pipes and air supply pipes. Practice has proved that: the abandoned geological pipe is used as a delivery
