Two types of pump optics are used to shape the output beam of the laser diode. The effects of different ellipticity and collimation pump beams on the Nd: YAG laser properties are studied. The ellipticity and the degree of alignment are significantly improved. So that the pump beam in the laser bar over the entire length of the laser cavity space overlap increases.Pump power density.Laser threshold decreased.Laser conversion efficiency increased significantly.When the pump power of 2.42W, the output power of 1064nm 1.13 W. The slope efficiency is 50% and the efficiency of two different concentration crystals is compared.
