The Beijing News recently published an article by Yang Guoying, a researcher with China’s financial think tank. According to the website of the General Administration of Customs, the total value of China’s import and export in the first seven months of this year was 13.21 trillion yuan, down 3% over the same period of last year. Among them, exports 7.6 trillion yuan, down 1.6%; imports 5.61 trillion yuan, down 4.8%; trade surplus of 1.99 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.7%. This is a mixed set of data.
