一我比昌穀年长一岁,早一年进国立艺专,是真正同一时段的同学。那时我同他并不很熟,只知道新制一年级有一对周氏兄弟,衣着很乡气,学习很刻苦,书画很突出,埋头学艺,对政治活动不太热心。后来我从军,一去六七载,回到母校已是1956年。这时昌穀的《两个羊羔》已获第五届世界青年联欢节金奖,正风靡神州。那些年画坛提倡年画、连环画、宣传画和苏式的绘画,这样气韵生动、具有新意的中国画,顿使整个艺坛为之耳目一新。
