利用油麻1-1×金白1号有性杂交,采用系谱法定向选择,培育出综合性状优良的花生新品种冀油4号。其主要特点是:高产稳产,在国家和省区试中连续7次进行比较,均居第一位,较对照增产7.3—34%,在我国北方大花生区推广种植比生产种增产15—25%;含油率52.69％,出米率73—75%,是目前生产上大果型品种高含油、高出米率品种之一;抗病性好,特别是抗叶斑病,耐病毒病;抗逆性强,适应性广;推广速度快,社会经济效益明显,生产上已推广220多万亩,新增社会效益1.5亿元.获1991年国家科技进步三等奖。
