磨损是决定机械密封元件使用寿命的重要因素,而摩擦是决定磨损的主要因素,因此在旋转或往复机械的密封元件中心必须考虑摩擦和磨损这二个必不可少的因素。 在有流体介质的作业条件下,位于碳—石墨密封元件和对偶面之间的界面中,往往能形成一层厚度为几个微米的流体薄膜,使相互作用的两个物体保持良好的摩擦状态。但有很多情况并不具备这种良好条件,即密封件不是与液体接触而是被气体包围,甚至还带有悬浮颗粒。在这种情况下,特别要考虑摩擦和磨损因素。请看以下三实例:
Wear is an important factor that determines the service life of mechanical seal components. Friction is a major factor that determines wear. Therefore, two essential factors, namely friction and wear, must be considered in the center of a rotating or reciprocating mechanical seal. In the presence of a fluid medium, an interface between the carbon-graphite sealing element and the counterface tends to form a thin film of fluid with a thickness of a few microns, keeping the two interacting objects in good frictional state . However, in many cases this good condition is not fulfilled, that is, the seal is not surrounded by the gas but rather with the liquid and even with suspended particles. In this case, especially consider the friction and wear factors. See the following three examples:
