高压操作是现代高炉冶炼取得高产、稳产、低耗的重要手段之一。对双钟炉顶装置,要提高顶压,必须解决料钟、料斗的耐磨、耐冲击及密封问题。通常,首钢用“堆667”做为料钟、料斗接触面上的堆焊合金,它只能在500℃以下正常工作,不能适应首钢的生产要求。新研制成功一种加入硼、钼、钴、的高铬合金铸铁,牌号“堆657”,具有良好的高温硬度及其它特性。在600℃时比原来“堆667”的硬度提高48%。通过在两座高炉上两年多的生产实践,证明使用新堆焊材料的小料钟寿命比用“堆667”者延长一倍,为提高顶压、减少高炉休风提供有利条件。
