To study the relationship between Epstein-Barr virus and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), PCR, in situ hybridization and LSAB (labeling streptavidivinbiotin) immunohistochemistry were used to detect EBV in 32 NHL and 33 reactive hyperplasia lymph nodes. BNLF1 gene fragment and its expression product latent membrane protein (LMP1). The positive rate of EBVBNLF1 PCR amplification in NHL was 53%, which was significantly higher than that of reactive hyperplasia lymph node group (27%) (P<0.05), of which 5 cases of T-cell lymphoma were all positive. Of the 17 NHLs with positive PCR, 5 were positive for in situ hybridization. LMP1 detected only 2 cases positive. The results showed that more than half of the patients in this group had EBV infection in the NHL, which may have a certain relationship with the occurrence and development of the tumor.
