鸡西市位于黑龙江省东南部,年活动积温在1900～2700℃,全市共有耕地面积623.3万亩,全市水稻种植面积203.3万亩。2006年6月下旬在本市首次发生水稻细菌性基腐病,当年造成19.5亩水稻绝产。为迅速有效控制病害,鸡西市植保站协同区乡政府指导农民立即采取综合防治措施,当年便控制了病害继续蔓延的势头,经过三年的综合防治,2007、2008年水稻整个生育期未见该病发生。
