在以MS为基本培养基并附加各种植物激素和生理活性物质的一系列培养基中,通过甜菜花药和未授粉胚珠培养,获得大量的单倍体植株或突变体,为育种刨造新的材料。未授粉胚珠培养较花药培养有较大的优越性,不但诱导率高且出苗材料广泛,80%以上的不同基因型材料均可诱导出苗;在对其株系后代进行遗传性状观察鉴定中,初选出一批高糖纯合系和产质量优良的组合,经2~3年小区鉴定试验,根产量较对照种增加15.7~23.9%,含糖提高1.9~2.8度,产糖量较对照增加34.4%~41.7%。
