本文通过对韩愈天命思想的溯源 ,辨析它不是商周天命有神论的复活 ,而是综合继承了孔子、孟子、荀子的天命学说。韩文中的天、天命 ,主要是指客观世界和社会历史发展的必然趋势。韩愈引天说理 ,是借天的运行的不可抗拒性 ,寓喻客观世界和社会历史发展趋势的必然性、不可抗拒性。他提倡“乐天知命” ,是说不管处境如何顺、逆、远、近 ,都要心乐之 ,泰然处之 ,以个人与社会、主观与客观相统一为莫大快乐。又说天命就是“性” ,提出“知天命”的程式 :“原始要终”———“穷理”———“尽心”———“知性”———“修性知天”。即不但要懂得事物发生、发展、终结的全过程 ,而且要懂得贯串这个全过程的内在的道理 ;不但要懂得客观世界的变化发展 ,还要懂得主观精神的运动发展 ,全面扩充心之善端 ,以求知内在的本性 ;性本于天 ,天、性合一 ,修养善性 ,便是知天。这是当时的一种道德修养学说 ,而不是神学

Also said that the fate of heaven is “sex”, put forward “know the destiny of” program: “the original to the final” --- “poor reason” --- “dedication” --- “intellectual” --- “self-cultivation.” That is to say, we should not only understand the whole process of occurrence, development and termination of things, but also understand the intrinsic truth that runs through this whole process. We must understand not only the changes and changes in the objective world, but also the development of subjective spiritual movements and comprehensive expansion of the good mind , In order to know the inherent nature; nature in heaven, heaven, sexual unity, cultivation of good nature, is known.
