从神学的角度看,《封神演义》是一部道教的早期教派斗争史之叙事学表达。在叙述教派斗争的时候,作者以较多的笔墨刻画了道教诸神的性格成长。就早期教派斗争史而论,《封神演义》具有浓郁的史诗意蕴。就道教诸神的性格成长而论,《封神演义》具有浓郁的平话意蕴。《封神演义》是一部介于史诗与平话之间的著作,其叙述方式具有文类的交叉性。《封神演义》的散文艺术主要表现在三个方面:史诗与平话语言的奇幻性、明代民间口头语的质朴性,以及道教神哲学语言的明晰性。
From a theological point of view, “Seal of God” is a Taoist narratological expression of the history of early sects struggles. In describing the sectarian struggle, the author portrayed the character growth of Taoist gods with more ink and brush. As far as the history of early sectarian struggles is concerned, “Romance of the Fathers” has rich epic implications. In terms of Taoist gods character growth, “Legend of God” has a rich flat meaning. “Romance of the Fables” is a book between the epic and the Pinghua, its narrative style with the cross-genre. The prose art of “Seal of God” mainly manifests in three aspects: the fantastic nature of epic and plain language, the simplicity of folk spoken language in Ming Dynasty, and the clarity of philosophical language of Taoism.
