In the last five years, several studies in the United States and the United Kingdom have shown that about 75% of migraine sufferers are allergic to five or more foods and some to 20 or more foods. When the patient is in a special diet, which eliminates or substantially reduces contact with those “triggering” foods, their migraines cease, or their frequency and severity are reduced. Study “double-blind” test to prove the relationship between food allergy and migraine. Studies by Dr. James Brenneman, former chairman of the U.S. Food Allergy Committee, have shown that migraine sufferers have an allergic tendency to common foods they eat every day - wheat, eggs, milk and corn.
