This article presents a high-speed, random-access ferrite core memory designed for faster computers in the future, as well as pulse sorters and buffer memories. The simulation and testing of a storage system made using partial flipping technology and having 1024 words (25 bits per word and one core per bit) was performed. The system uses a ferrite core with an outer diameter of .030 inches, with a period of about 500 nanoseconds and a fetch time of about 260 nanoseconds. Compared with the current capacity of comparable memory, the speed increased by about four times.
