城市空间演化是在集中与分散的矛盾运动中进行的。分散中有集中，集中中有分散是空间演化的表征。如何从复杂的空间现象中抽象其本质是本文研究的重点．文章提出了城市空间演化的规律是有机集中这一命题，并试图以城市空间研究的学说渊源、演化的过程和机制以及城市社会经济、社会生态等规律的剖析．论证此规律存在的必然性。
Urban spatial evolution is concentrated and dispersed contradictions carried out. There is concentration in dispersion, and dispersion in concentration is the representation of spatial evolution. How to abstract its essence from complex space phenomena is the focus of this paper. The article puts forward the proposition that the law of urban spatial evolution is organic concentration, and tries to analyze the origin, evolution process and mechanism of urban space research as well as the law of urban social economy and social ecology. Demonstrate the inevitability of the existence of this law.
