根据中国科学院与英国皇家学会的协议,世界著名的英国洛桑试验站的布鲁克斯博士(Dr·P·C·Brookes)一行三人应中国科学院长沙农业现代化研究所等单位的邀请,于9月13日—20日在长沙进行了为期一周的学术交流和访问活动。布鲁克斯现任洛桑试验站土壤学高级科学研究员,从事土壤微生物生物量的研究,且在《土壤生物学和生物化学》等杂志上发表论文58篇。在长沙期间,布鲁克斯和他的两位博士研究生J·A·OCIO、吴金水,分别在长沙农业现代化所和湖南农学院,介绍了洛桑试验站自1843年开始布置并延续至今的肥料试验情况,作了有关土壤微生物生物量的测定及其应用和土壤有机质的变化及其动力学的报告。他们比较系统地介绍了国际上几种测定土壤微生物生物量的方法及期在应用中的优缺点;以及有机氮、有机碳的计算方法,特别是土壤有机质周转动力学及其摸拟的报告使我们了解到不同的土壤、不同作物、不同的利用方式都严重地影
According to the agreement between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society, Dr. PCC Brookes, world renowned at the Lausanne pilot station in the United Kingdom, at the invitation of the Changsha Institute of Agricultural Modernization, Chinese Academy of Sciences, On the 20th, a one-week academic exchange and visit was held in Changsha.
