Tricresyl phosphate (TCP) causes polyneuritis in humans and animals and eventually paralysis of the hands and feet. Although the pathogenesis of the details is unclear, but the disease occurs with the irreversibility of neuropathy target esterase (NTE) inhibition and aging. Orthologous TCP alignment and meta TCP are highly toxic. In July 1988, a case of edible rapeseed oil poisoning occurred in the Hakhara district of southwestern Kolkata in India. About 600 people were poisoned, 343 (203 males and 140 females) were hospitalized but none died. After sampling analysis, identify the cause of poisoning due to TCP pollution caused by rapeseed oil. Among them, TCP content of 6 samples reached 22 ~ 57%. In 65 families, 135 patients (82 males and 53 females, mean age 28.25 years) were carefully examined and each was estimated to have contaminated oil at 2.44 ± 0.44 days (mean ± standard error)
