西洋参是五加科植物西洋参的干燥根,原产于北美洲东北部,其名称是相对于中国原产人参而来,又有洋参、花旗参、美国人参、广东人参等称呼。自清代以来,西洋参在中国已有300多年的应用和40多年的栽培历史,得到了广泛的传播与社会认可。目前,中国已经成为世界西洋参第一大消费国,同时也是第二大生产国。作为一种外来药用物种,如何能在新的社会环境中得到认可与传播,并保持长久不衰,其原因值得深究。 American ginseng is the dried root of American ginseng rooted in American ginseng and native to the northeastern North America.
