A Fu Lei’s name, I have long heard of, seen, but little to know, but no contact. In August 1954, the Chinese Writers Association, “Literary Learning” magazine, opened a bibliography for political literary scholars and classical literature to the broad literary and art workers. In French literature, there are Balzac’s “Ou Ye Ni Ge Lang Tai” “Tall Old Man,” “Aunt Bay,” “Uncle Bunch,” and Roland Rowland’s “John Krisdorff,” all refer to Fu Lei’s version.
