徐淮地区夏玉米种植面积约占玉米面积的80%。常年因夏季雨水集中;地下水位增高而导致涝渍害,对产量影响很大。为此,我们在玉米涝渍危害的地区,进行了夏玉米涝渍形成条件,危害症状、危害时期及其生理反应的研究,并从耕作、栽培、选用品种等方面探讨了综合防御措施。 (一)夏玉米涝渍危害的主要时期 徐淮地处瞬温带,受季风影响很大,常年降雨以7月中下旬为高峰期。由于地势低平,大约有四分之三水分是经过土壤——植物系统贮存,成为地下水。仅有四分之一水分以径流形式入海。据张集水文站1974~
