BACKGROUND:In treatment of cervical spondylopathy,Fengchih and Huatochiachi are selected to promote flow of qi and blood in channel.Drugs may reach affected focus by ion introduction and at the same time,series of physiological reactions such as electrolysis, electrophoresis and electrodialysis when direct current flow through body can affect pH,concentration of K+ ,Na+ ,Ca2+ ,Mg2+ and permeability of cell membrane producing analgesia effect.Vessels may also be dilated to promote local circulation and improve local nutrition and metabolism.
