Due to the postponement of the young people’s getting married, not only the change model of transition from school to the labor market has changed, but also many new changes have taken place in the household and family composition models. This article explores the situation in the UK in recent years. The new way of leaving parents results in a new form of non-household. Whether these new forms are a new way of life, a new “way of life choice,” a response purely to economic pressure, a way to survive a prolonged period of youth economic attachment, A necessary transitional living arrangement between home and “ultimate” new home? In either case, we should think carefully about the living arrangements of young people, think about how we construct the concept of “home” and how our thinking is applied to policy and practice. This article is mainly based on the author’s empirical research in the UK in recent years, but the issues raised in the paper have a broad meaning.
