众所周知,现行立体声调频广播的接收信噪比显著劣于单声调频广播时的信噪比,这个现象是现行立体声调频广播制式造成的。其结果是:电台覆盖面积,无论对于单声接收或立体声接收,都缩小了。现已研究出一种叫“FMX”的新广播方式以解决此问题。文中分析了能达到的改善程度,並论证了在未来的广播传输系统中在与现行(立体声)广播方式兼容的条件下实现声频压扩技术的方法。
It is well known that the received signal-to-noise ratio of the current stereo FM radio is significantly inferior to the signal-to-noise ratio of the mono FM radio, a phenomenon that is caused by the current stereo FM radio standard. As a result, the radio coverage is reduced both for mono reception and for stereo reception. A new broadcast called “FMX” has been developed to solve this problem. This paper analyzes the degree of improvement that can be achieved and demonstrates how to implement audio compression techniques in a future broadcast transmission system that is compatible with existing (stereo) broadcast modes.
