基于陕西、青海、宁夏10所中学1881名初中学生的调研访谈数据,本文采用二元logit回归估计辍学行为的影响因素和各因素的边际效应,比较父母外出务工和寄宿制对农村学生辍学的影响程度差异。结果表明:控制其他因素不变,在校寄宿比其父母外出务工更容易导致农村初中生辍学,学习成绩低和所在班级规模大的学生辍学概率更高;父亲外出务工、母亲外出务工和父母双方外出务工对学生辍学的影响呈现出异质性。本文认为,寄宿学校里成绩低的学生是防止辍学重点,需要提升生活老师专业沟通技能等“软件”要素并控制班级规模,建立寄宿生辍学倾向的动态监测和干预制度。
Based on the interview data of 1881 middle school students from 10 middle schools in Shaanxi, Qinghai and Ningxia, this paper uses binary logistic regression to estimate the influence factors of dropout behavior and the marginal effects of various factors, and compares the effect of parents’ migrant workers and boarding schools on dropouts among rural students Degree of difference. The results showed that the probability of dropping out of school was higher when the control of other factors remained unchanged. The probability of school dropouts in rural areas was more likely to result in dropping out of school than that of their parents. The probability of dropping out of school was higher in those with low academic performance and large classes. The impact of migrant workers on dropping out of school shows heterogeneity. This paper argues that students with low scores in boarding schools are the key points to prevent dropping out of school. They need to improve the “software” elements such as professional communication skills of life teachers and control their class size, and establish a dynamic monitoring and intervention system for boarding students’ dropout tendency.
